Barton International Group’s roots stem from the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan. BIG’s mission is to allow undergraduate students the opportunity to expand their skills and innovation through networking and partnerships in the Wichita business community and in the global marketplace. BIG’s commitment to excellence creates an environment that is beneficial for employees and the client.

We work with a variety of clients. Each project is tailored to the client’s specific needs ranging from market expansion research to non-profit fundraising. Our past projects include extensive experience in the aviation, recreation and oil and gas industries. BIG strives to add value to our client base through customized goals and objectives. There is no project too big or small.

The employees of Barton International Group traveled to Malaysia in 2010. The group spent two weeks conducting ethnographic research in a Spirit Aerosystems manufacturing plant. The purpose of this project was to identify successful components within the plant and whether those components were transferable to other plants.

 

Employees conducted consumer-based market research. The group conducted field research in four major US cities. 

As a result, the group identified a $23 million opportunity in incremental sales.

 

Over the course of eight days, BIG traveled to Pau, France to gain insight into the business practices of another culture. Barton International Group presented to the Pau Chamber of Commerce and the United States Consulate.

The group was also afforded the opportunity to tour several international and local companies, as well as the chance to speak with representatives of each company. 

 

Barton International Group completed a product feasibility plan for MoJack. The employees surveyed various industries to determine market opportunities. Ultimately, in accordance to the research findings, the group suggested that MoJack not move forward with this market venture.

 

Employees conducted market research to identify tactics to create awareness within the hispanic sector. 

The group traveled to four major US cities, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and Chicago, to conduct field research within the hispanic market. Various employees traveled to the 2012 World Balloon Convention to interview Certified Balloon Artists to gain an inside perspective to the balloon industry. 

 

The employees of Barton International Group traveled to Shanghai, China to gain insight into the Chinese consumer through observation and various company visits. Employees of BIG developed a strong knowledge base of Chinese business practices and customs.
